Turmoil+ is a visually appealing simulation game that takes inspiration from the 19th-century oil rush in North America. Rather than advertisements, the game aims to provide players with an engaging experience that immerses them in the exhilarating world of becoming a successful oil entrepreneur. As players dig and sell oil to make money, they will witness the growth of the town.

The game offers various gameplay features:

<ul>
 <li>Lease land at the town auction and embark on the search for oil.</li>
 <li>Build rigs, create efficient pipe networks, and store oil in silos to maximize profits.</li>
 <li>Sell oil at opportune moments for higher returns.</li>
 <li>Obtain essential upgrades in town to overcome challenges like rock, gas, and ice.</li>
 <li>Compete with rivals at the stock auction to acquire more town shares and potentially become the new mayor.</li>
</ul>

In addition to the main campaign, Turmoil+ offers a single-game mode with millions of procedurally generated levels, where players can strive to earn as much as they can in one year.

The newly released DLC campaign, Turmoil+ - The Heat Is On, enhances the gameplay experience and introduces fresh elements:

<ul>
 <li>A brand-new town and mayor, alongside a map divided into three oil-rich areas.</li>
 <li>The introduction of new drilling mechanics in each area, utilizing a unique underground substance called magma.</li>
 <li>Familiar characters from the previous game return, bringing supplies and facilitating your drilling activities.</li>
 <li>New characters, such as Philip, offer intriguing opportunities for shady business deals in the saloon.</li>
 <li>Jack operates a magma tools operation from his shed, providing players with additional options for their operations.</li>
 <li>Anthony returns, now running a store where players can buy and sell various underground treasures.</li>
 <li>A new mayor with a different auction system and valuable tips, although shares still require monetary investment.</li>
 <li>Experience the presence of a village cat, bringing a touch of charm to the surroundings.</li>
 <li>Enjoy a couple of fresh music tracks to enhance your immersion in the game world.</li>
</ul>

This DLC-campaign expands the metagame by introducing nine underground treasures instead of diamonds. Collecting all these treasures will provide significant advantages, and players can also engage in activities like a card game for monetary gain within the village.
